Due to the high volume of business and in order to provide the best possible service to all of our customers, the Software Distribution Office finds it necessary to abide by the following service processes:

  • Orders:
    Orders for software and requests for information will be processed in the order in which they are received.
  • Payment:
    The Software Distribution office is NOT a funding unit. We must receive a valid University chartfield string to bill you for your order, for certain annual renewals we will bill you using the Customer Billing Management (CBM) system. Students can pay for certain software by using their UNC OneCard.
  • Software Ordering
    Faculty/Staff must place all software orders through the ConnectCarolina BuyCarolina Marketplace.
    Students must place all orders through the Student Ordering website (Onyen/Password Required)
  • Software Usage:
    The software distributed through the Software Distribution office is to be used for University related use, we do not offer any software for personal use.
